Tara Wolfson
Tara WolfsonCo-Founder/Program Manager
Tara Wolfson is the Employment and Training Program Manager at the Idaho Office for Refugees. Tara brings together organizations, agencies and business leaders to build employment and training opportunities for refugees. She recently co-founded Global Talent Idaho, a new workforce development initiative to enable highly skilled refugees and other immigrants to successfully integrate into professional roles in Idaho.

Tara has proven that unlikely outcomes can be accomplished through strategic planning and hard work. Tara built several non-profit organizations and political campaigns from the ground up. She has been instrumental in bringing together people with often-divergent views, from Palestinians and Jewish Israelis to environmental leaders in the U.S. . Tara has managed and worked on legislative, ballot initiative, school board, mayoral, congressional campaigns in Idaho and San Francisco. She was a recipient of the prestigious Coro Fellowship in Civic Leadership in San Francisco and a graduate of the University of Vermont.

Lisa Cooper
Lisa CooperCo-Founder/Consultant
Lisa Cooper is the co-founder of Global Talent Idaho. In 2014, Lisa stepped away from her longtime career in investment management to collaborate with Tara Wolfson on filling what they saw as a tremendous need and a great opportunity — to help skilled refugees and immigrants reclaim professional careers while boosting the talent pool in Idaho. Lisa remains a strategic advisor to GTI. In addition to GTI, Lisa’s career has focused on the intersecting opportunities for business success and positive social impact in both for-profit and non-profit sectors. For the past two decades, Lisa’s served as a leader in the high-growth field of sustainable and responsible investing, most recently as partner and senior portfolio manager at Nelson Capital Management, an investment advisory arm of Wells Fargo. Lisa has served on multiple local and national non-profit boards, including those of the EcoLogic Development Fund, The Forum for Sustainable & Responsible Investment, Verite’, Radio Boise, and Ten Thousand Villages Boise. She holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California State Polytechnic University, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Gina Finley
Gina FinleyProject Manager
Gina joined Global Talent Idaho in January 2015 and brings to the organization a decade of business experience, including strategic and competitive planning. Prior to joining Global Talent Idaho, Gina worked in Hewlett Packard’s LaserJet Printer division in product marketing, business analysis, and competitive strategy, where she was consistently recognized and awarded for her leadership, teamwork, and performance. She also owned a small business in Boise, ID, where she managed all aspects of the business.Gina has a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Montana State University and an MBA from The University of Montana School of Business Administration. In her free time, Gina enjoys reading and spending time with her two children. She also loves playing sports, especially soccer and basketball.

Judi Brawer
Judi BrawerEmployment Services Associate and Volunteer Coordinator
Judi brings to Global Talent Idaho an impressive background that will add value in many areas of the organization. She is excited and looking forward to assisting highly skilled refugees and other new Americans to rebuild their professional careers in Idaho. Judi holds a Juris Doctorate (JD) from Vermont Law School and a bachelor’s degree in International Relations. While practicing law, she represented non-profit conservation groups in their efforts to protect public lands, waters and wildlife throughout the West. She also has significant experience in sales, social media marketing, and teaching personal fitness. In her free time Judi volunteers at the Humane Society and enjoys long walks and hikes in the foothills with her rescue dog, Dobby. She also likes mountain biking, camping, boating, cooking and a good book.
Ashley Davis
Ashley DavisEnglish Language Navigator and Training Associate
Ashley holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies and Spanish from the University of Washington. She comes to GTI from the Washington Office on Latin America, a D.C.-based research and advocacy organization advancing human rights. Ashley has a high level of cultural competence and direct experience advising and coaching immigrant/refugee students in the Seattle, Washington area. Additionally, she has first-hand knowledge of the challenges associated with learning a new language as she is bilingual in English and Spanish. In her free time, Ashley enjoys exploring outdoors, cooking, and reading.
Saaid Fakir
Saaid FakirAmeriCorps VISTA Volunteer
Saaid is Global Talent Idaho’s VISTA volunteer. His duties at GTI include organizing the Alumni Network, creating multiple diversity training for job seekers and employers, as well as continuing the work of building the licensing guides. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, traveling and a good cup of tea.

Saaid is originally from Morocco and joined Global Talent Idaho as a VISTA volunteer in the fall. In 2010 he had the opportunity to immigrate to the United States, landing in Boise. He obtained his first Bachelor’s degree in Public Law with an emphasis in International Relations in Morocco and a second Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with an emphasis in International Relations from Boise State University. Currently, he is working on his Master’s degree in Political Science at Boise State. Following his education in Morocco, Saaid volunteered with civic, elections and community associations and has extensive experience working for private small businesses. He is excited to work with Global Talent Idaho (GTI), and utilize his education and background working with non-profit organizations. After finishing his service with GTI, he plans to continue along the same career path, working with Non-government Organizations (NGO) and Intergovernmental Organizations (IGO).

Malak Al Fatal

Malak is a computer engineer from Iraq. She came to United States in 2013 and she is currently working as a DATA Management Specialist at the Idaho Office for Refugees.
